I bought this book for my 4 year old grandson for Christmas. I used these books when I taught tall tales in Junior High. They are all great books. I am sure he will enjoy them. He is currently very interested in Paul Bunyan, Pecos Bill, and John Henry.,

A wonderful American classic with great illustrations! Read this myself as a child and it's now a favorite adventure story of my small boys.

The illustrations keep my 20month old interested for (almost) the entire book. I enjoy, reading it, too. Always finding some new detail in the pictures that I hadn't noticed before.
